Barack Obama Wins the Nobel Peace Prize 2009
By sedert, 16:29

The winner for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize is none other than President Barack Obama.   The organization said that he deserved to win because he was instrumental in strengthening the diplomatic ties of many nations. However, his position as the President of the most powerful country on earth is a major issue. On one hand it is truly an amazing feat because the leader of a military superpower has chosen to use diplomacy over force. It is also fascinating because he could have used his vast powers to bully other nations to submission and instead he used dialogue. Nevertheless, it is easy to understand if there are people who are not in agreement when it comes to the decision to give the award to Obama. At the time that the award was given the United States had a strong military presence in Afghanistan and Iraq. The conflict concerns the existence of Weapons of Mass Destruction. For many observers the Iraq War of 2002 was a major conflict that created division rather than unity. Although, Obama did not sanction the war – it was his predecessor George W. Bush – but still he was the commander-in-chief when the Nobel Peace Prize was given. There should be a cheap essay writing service; one can access in order to buy a research paper that would help explain the issue to the organizers of the Nobel Peace Prize. They can be forgiven for their blunder but this mistake should not happen again. Obama received his award in Oslo, Norway.
